Employer guide

Working at Publix

Publix schedules are typically posted in store for the coming week. If you do not photograph it before you leave, the only copy of your week stays at work.

Freeish is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Publix. This is a guide for employees, written by us. There is no integration with the posted schedule or any other employer system — you import a photo or screenshot of your own schedule, and nothing you do in Freeish is visible to your employer.

How schedules reach you

  • Schedules post in store, usually for the week ahead.
  • Departments run different hours — bakery starts long before the front end.
  • Weekend and holiday coverage rotates.
  • Shifts change through the week as cover is arranged.

Where it stops

A wall is not a channel. Your family cannot check it, so they depend on you remembering to tell them.

That is the gap Freeish fills. Photograph or screenshot whatever your employer gives you, import it in about a minute, and the people who plan around your hours can see them — without you relaying every change.

Questions from people at Publix

Can it read the posted schedule?
Yes — photograph it and it reads the shifts off the grid. You check it before saving.
Does my store see anything?
No. Freeish has no connection to any employer.
What about a shift I pick up mid-week?
Add it in a few seconds and everyone following sees it.
