Employer guide

Working at Southwest

Monthly lines describe trips, layovers and reserve, and change through swaps and reassignment. The people at home want one thing from it: which days you are actually home.

Freeish is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Southwest. This is a guide for employees, written by us. There is no integration with the crew scheduling system or any other employer system — you import a photo or screenshot of your own schedule, and nothing you do in Freeish is visible to your employer.

How schedules reach you

  • Lines are awarded monthly through bidding.
  • Trips span multiple days with layovers.
  • Reserve is on call, at home or nearby.
  • Reassignment changes the line after it is awarded.

Where it stops

Days at home are what everyone else needs, and they are the part a bid line describes least directly.

That is the gap Freeish fills. Photograph or screenshot whatever your employer gives you, import it in about a minute, and the people who plan around your hours can see them — without you relaying every change.

Questions from people at Southwest

Can family see my days at home clearly?
Yes — once trips are in as blocks, the days at home are what is left, which is the answer they are looking for.
Is there an integration with crew scheduling?
No. Import a screenshot.
What about reassignment?
Change the block; everyone following sees it immediately.
