Employer guide

Working at UPS

UPS work runs on routes and volume. Start times are knowable; finish times are what the day turns out to be, and peak season changes both.

Freeish is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to UPS. This is a guide for employees, written by us. There is no integration with the posted schedule and dispatch or any other employer system — you import a photo or screenshot of your own schedule, and nothing you do in Freeish is visible to your employer.

How schedules reach you

  • Start times are scheduled; finish depends on the route and the volume.
  • Peak season adds days and lengthens them from November.
  • Preload and twilight shifts run outside normal hours.
  • Route changes alter both the hours and the geography.

Where it stops

A finish time nobody believes is worse than none. The people at home need the realistic one, and only you know it.

That is the gap Freeish fills. Photograph or screenshot whatever your employer gives you, import it in about a minute, and the people who plan around your hours can see them — without you relaying every change.

Questions from people at UPS

Should I enter the scheduled finish or the real one?
The real one. The purpose is that your family can plan, and a time that is routinely wrong defeats it.
Is there an integration with UPS systems?
No, and there will not be. You import a photo or type it; nothing reaches your employer.
How do I handle peak?
Import the extended schedule in one go rather than explaining it week by week.

Your schedule. Where your family can see it.
