Employer guide

Working at HCA Healthcare

Hospital schedules are built per unit, often through self-scheduling followed by reconciliation, and published as a monthly grid. What you requested and what you were given are not the same document.

Freeish is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to HCA Healthcare. This is a guide for employees, written by us. There is no integration with the unit schedule or any other employer system — you import a photo or screenshot of your own schedule, and nothing you do in Freeish is visible to your employer.

How schedules reach you

  • Self-scheduling requests are reconciled against unit needs.
  • The final schedule is published as a monthly grid.
  • Shifts are picked up, swapped and floated after publication.
  • Weekend and holiday rotations are set well ahead.

Where it stops

The version your family saw is usually the version you requested, not the one you were given.

That is the gap Freeish fills. Photograph or screenshot whatever your employer gives you, import it in about a minute, and the people who plan around your hours can see them — without you relaying every change.

Questions from people at HCA Healthcare

Can it read the monthly grid?
Yes. Photograph or screenshot it and check what it read before saving.
Does the hospital see anything?
No. There is no connection to any employer system, and nothing clinical is ever in Freeish.
What about picking up a shift?
Add it; everyone following sees it without another message.

Your schedule. Where your family can see it.
