Employer guide

Working at Walmart

Walmart associates get schedules through an internal app, often several weeks out, across departments that run at very different hours — overnight stocking is a different life from a daytime front-end shift.

Freeish is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Walmart. This is a guide for employees, written by us. There is no integration with the associate scheduling app or any other employer system — you import a photo or screenshot of your own schedule, and nothing you do in Freeish is visible to your employer.

How schedules reach you

  • Schedules publish to the associate app, sometimes several weeks ahead.
  • Departments run different hours; overnight stocking inverts the day entirely.
  • Shifts can be swapped or picked up through the app after posting.
  • Holiday and seasonal periods add hours across departments.

Where it stops

A schedule several weeks out is genuinely useful — to you. The people arranging childcare around it still cannot see it without you passing it on.

That is the gap Freeish fills. Photograph or screenshot whatever your employer gives you, import it in about a minute, and the people who plan around your hours can see them — without you relaying every change.

Questions from people at Walmart

Is there an integration with Walmart’s system?
No. You import a screenshot, and there is no connection in either direction. Your employer sees nothing.
I work overnights. Does that work properly?
Yes — a shift crossing midnight is one event spanning both dates. You can also add your sleep window so the house knows when to be quiet.
Can I import several weeks at once?
Yes, if the screenshot shows them. That is the fastest way to do it.

Your schedule. Where your family can see it.
